<br />Mr. March presented several quotes received for paving the trails in Acorn Creek Park. Two (2) <br />firms submitted quotes, Arcade Asphalt and Northdale Construction. The quote from Arcade <br />Asphalt was $10,000 lower than that presented by Northdale Construction. Mr. March <br />recommended accepting the presented bid from Arcade Asphalt. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Sweeney. seconded by Council Member Nelson to accept the <br />presented bid from Arcade ASllhalt for the paving of the trails in Acorn Creek Park. All in <br />favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />7. Centerville Redi-Mix - Interim Use Permit (Renewal Request) <br /> <br />Mr. March stated that Mr. Shudy, (Owner, Centerville Redi-Mix) has requested renewal of his <br />Interim Use Permit. Mr. March stated that the Interim Use Permits needs to be reviewed on an <br />annual basis for an extension not to exceed five years. Mr. March indicated that Mr. Shudy's <br />current Interim Use Permit is scheduled to expire on October 14,2000. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Nelson. seconded by Council Member Sweeney to approve the <br />extension ofthe Interim Use Permit for Centerville Redi-Mix. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />8. Ground Development <br /> <br />Mr. March presented information to Council regarding Ground Development's proposed plan <br />located south of the Center Oaks subdivisions. <br /> <br />Mr. Cooper, representing Ground Development, presented a revised sketch of the proposed plan <br />for the property reflecting the changes requested by the Planning and Zoning Committee. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding the development and Council's request that several items be revisited <br />prior to resubmission. The following modifications were requested: location of trails; concern <br />for the drainage ditch through the southern portion of the property; the need for the Parks and <br />Recreation Committee to determine if a park is desired in the development or if other concession <br />may be made, saving trees, modifications to the Comprehensive Plan for MUSA, sidewalk <br />installation on Dupre Road, Anoka County's plans to widen Centerville Road, driveway concerns <br />for the two (2) residences to the north, and a draft monument entrance. sign plan for the <br />development. <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson left the meeting at 8:30 p.m. <br /> <br />9. Resolution 00-25, a Resolution Approving a Public Hearing on the Tax Abatement for <br />Northern Forest Products <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Sweeney. seconded by Council Member Travis to approve <br />Resolution 00-25. a Resolution Approving a Public Hearing on the Tax Abatement for <br />Northern Forest Products.
