<br />Council Member Sweeney stated that due to minimal costs involved with widening the trail way, <br />he was in favor of asking the developer to pay for same. Council Member Sweeney also stated <br />that if the developer is not willing to pay the amount required, he would approve of the City <br />paying for the widening. <br /> <br />Council Member Travis stated he would like the developer to pay for the widening of the trail and <br />felt that connecting the trail with the Anoka County Park was a good idea. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber directed Mr. March to contact the developer to discuss this issue. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Sweeney. seconded by Council Member Travis to approve <br />widening of the trail in Hunter's Crossing Development to a 9 'l1 foot bituminous trail. All in <br />favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />X. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />XI. COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber stated that there would be a Police Commission and Fire Steering meeting on <br />October 12,2000. <br /> <br />XII. <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> <br />Mr. March stated that the Lion's storage building needed to be removed from the old Public <br />Works site and placed at the new Public Works site. Mr. March stated that he had received a <br />complaint in regards to the appearance of the old site and recommended that the City research the <br />possibility of having the fire department use the building for fire practice. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Sweeney. seconded by Council Member Travis to allow the <br />Lion's storage building to be relocated to the new Public Works site. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber requested that Council approve signage for the new Public Works site and the <br />Centennial Lakes Police substation. Signage will be similar in size, material, etc. to that of other <br />signage on City property. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Travis. seconded by Council Member Sweeney to authorize <br />Mayor Wilharber to contract for signs for both the new Public Works site and the <br />Centennial Lakes Police substation. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber stated he had spoken with Father Fitzgerald previously and Council had <br />authorized Mr. March to draft a letter in regards to the likelihood of a land swap or purchase of <br />land for the purpose of a Community Center. The Archdioceses has authorized the church to <br />proceed if deemed appropriate. <br /> <br />) <br />/ <br /> <br />Mr. March suggested authorization by Council to obtain an appraisal of the church property and a <br />duplex located on the same block. Council Member Sweeney stated that he would like to have the <br />entire block appraised as he believes the City would need to purchase same in order to make the <br />Community Center a reality. <br /> <br />'1'" ~ L" 1 A <br />
