<br />2001 Engineering Rates <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Travis. seconded by Council Member Broussard <br />Vickers to accept the 2001 Engineerill!:!: Rates as presented. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Union Contract Negotiations <br /> <br />This item was removed for discussion at an executive session immediately following the <br />regular meeting. <br /> <br />Cable Operator Pay Increase Request <br /> <br />Council reviewed a letter from Patricia Scott requesting a pay increase from $10 per hour <br />with a three hour minimum to $13 per hour with a three (3) hour minimum. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Nelson. seconded by Council Member Broussard <br />Vickers to approve a pay increase to $12.50 per hour with a three (3) hour <br />minimum. <br /> <br />Council Member Travis noted he was opposed to the increase to $12.50 per hour as he <br />believes Ms. Scott is invaluable to the City and deserves the increase to $13 per hour. <br /> <br />Vote: Ayes - 2 (Nelson/Broussard Vickers). Nays - 3 (Wilharber/Travis/Sweeney). <br />Motion failed. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Travis. seconded by Council Member Sweeney to <br />approve a pay increase to $13 per hour with a three (3) hour minimum. All in <br />favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />x. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />Successful Completion of Year 2 (Clerk/Treasurer, Teresa Bender) Recommended Step <br />Increase from Step 1 to Step 2 <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Nelson. seconded by Council Member Sweeney to <br />approve the increase for Teresa Bender from Step 1 to Step 2. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />XI. COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Council Member Travis reported the EDC had requested clarification on the proposed <br />changes to the sign ordinance. <br /> <br />Council Member Sweeney reminded Council a new Council Member will need to be <br />appointed as the cable commission liaison. <br /> <br />Dn........a Q ro..+O <br />
