<br />Motion by Council member Nelson, seconded by Council member Travis directinl! staff to <br />prepare a letter to St. Paul Water Utility informinl! them that the City of Centerville does <br />not wish to acquire the parcel known as the Peltier Lake Flowal!e. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Public Works Site - Request for Proposals <br /> <br />Mr. March reviewed the draft Request for Proposals. Council consensus was to not have a <br />minimum purchase price and to make people in the area aware of what the City is proposing. <br /> <br />Councilmember Broussard Vickers stated that along with the proposal a letter should be sent <br />letting proposed developers know that the City is making residents aware of this proposal in case <br />they wish to approach surrounding residents. <br /> <br />Mr. March stated that he would also state in the letter to the residents that the City Engineer is <br />currently preparing a feasibility study for running utilities to the site and that one of the <br />components is the street scape enhancement in the downtown area. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber addressed the issue of rebuilding Heritage. Mr. March stated that it might be <br />best to have this project as a separate project. <br /> <br />Mr. March stated that Mr. Peterson would have the feasibility study for the water main extension <br />completed for Council review at the first meeting in December. <br /> <br />Motion by Council member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council member Nelson <br />directinl! staff to proceed with the Request for Proposal process and before sendinl! <br />proposals to prepare a letter to residents in the area (350 feet) to inform them of what the <br />City is proposinl!. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />IX. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Abatement of Special Assessments (Parkview Addition) <br /> <br />Motion by Council member Travis, seconded by Council member Nelson adoptinl! <br />Resolution No. 99-18, RESOLUTION FOR ABATEMENT OF SPECIAAL <br />ASSESSMENTS (P ARKVIEW ADDITION). Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Metropolitan Council Easement near Cedar Street Park <br /> <br />Mr. March reviewed the temporary easement acquisition and the proposed offer by the <br />Metropolitan Council.
