CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber called the October 26, 1999 workshop to order at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />II. PUBLIC WORKS ISSUES: <br /> <br />1. Public Works Appraisal, new Public Works building, and feasibility of water <br />main extension to downtown. <br /> <br />Mr. March began the discussion by addressing the public works site appraisaL Council <br />was surprised that the appraisal was not higher and it should be higher. Mayor Wilharber <br />asked about the cost of bringing water to the site. <br /> <br />Mr. March stated that all these issues were related to each other so he requested a <br />proposal from the City Engineer, Tom Peterson regarding a feasibility report for the water <br />main extension to downtown that would incorporate some of the design team ideas for the <br />intersections of Main Street and Centerville Road and Centerville Road and Sorel Street. <br />Bonestroo has staff experienced in the "street scape" projects that used the decorati~~ -- <br />sidewalk, historic lighting etc. Mr. March stated he sees this a phased redevelopment, and <br />that some of the residents have indicated that they wish to have water available to their <br />property downtown. <br /> <br />Page 1 of3 <br />
