<br />Mr. March addressed the redevelopment issue of this property. Mr. March distributed a <br />request for proposals that the City of Wyoming developed to redevelop some oftheir <br />City's property. <br /> <br />Council member Broussard Vickers stated that the current Public Works property would <br />have to be rezoned to allow redevelopment as it is zoned "public" right now. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber questioned the possibility of Anoka County widening County Road 14 <br />and future plans for Centerville Road as well. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber distributed information on his conversation with Mr. Huber the owner of <br />Eagle Trucking on 20th Avenue regarding the sale ofthis property and addressed the <br />possibility of the City purchasing this site for the Public Works facility. <br /> <br />Council member Nelson stated that the residents should be kept informed ofthe <br />redevelopment of the current public works site and plans for a new public works. <br /> <br />Mr. March stated that he would contact Tom Peterson to find out what exactly the <br />feasibility report for the water main extension and appurtenances will cover. <br /> <br />After discussion on the above items, Council reached a consensus that Council should <br />make formal motions at their October 27, 1999 meeting: <br /> <br />1. Develop a request for proposals for the redevelopment of the current public works <br />property and direct staff to contact property owners on the intention of the City. <br />2. Order the feasibility report for the extension of water main and the "streetscape" <br />improvements in the downtown area and investigate the County's intentions for <br />County Road 14. <br />3. Proceed with the investigation for a new public works facility <br />a) State the City's strong interest in the Eagle Trucking site with Mr. Huber. <br />b) Go through the Eagle Trucking building again to ensure that it will meet <br />the City's needs as a Public Works facility. <br />c) Obtain an appraisal of the building and property. <br />d) Verify the actual size of the lot for future lot split possibilities. <br />e) Obtain Phase I environmental assessment of the property. <br />f) Discuss financing options with Mr. Huber. <br />g) Possible date of ownership. <br /> <br />II. Revising the Preliminary Budget <br /> <br />Mr. March informed the Council of the monies left over after expenditures were included <br />in the budget and reviewed the Council's goals. <br /> <br />Page 2 of3 <br />
