<br />City Council Meeting Minutes of June 10, 1996 <br /> <br />Workshop to be scheduled for further review and discussion on June 19, 1996 at 5: 00 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Interim Strategy Resolution <br /> <br />MOTION by Powers-Rasmussen, second by Helmbrecht to adopt Resolution 96-22, <br />approving comprehensive plan amendment for interim strategy to reduce nonpoint source <br />pollution to all metropolitan water bodies. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />3.2 Permit for City Celebration <br /> <br />MOTION by Buckbee, second by Powers-Rasmussen to approve the 3.2 permit to the <br />Lions Club for the City Celebration, contingent upon receipt of certificate of insurance and <br />that the fee be waived. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Local Performance Aid <br /> <br />Mr. March explained that the application needs to be sent in to be eligible for the funds. <br />Councilmember Brenner questioned how they could take funds from HACA and call it a <br />new aid. <br /> <br />MOTION by Brenner, second by Powers-Rasmussen to direct staff to complete the <br />appropriate paperwork to apply for the Local Performance Aid. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Clerks Institute, League of MN Cities <br /> <br />Mr. March stated he did not have a problem with both Danell and Trudi attending the <br />weeks conference. <br /> <br />MOTION by Buckbee, second by Brenner to approve Danell Westbrock and Trudi <br />Breuninger attending the 1996 Minnesota Municipal Clerks Institute (2 Year), July 15-19, <br />1996. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ADMINISTRA TOR REPORTS <br /> <br />- Mr. March reported that he would be meeting with the representatives from United <br />Waste regarding the implementation of the cart system on June 26, 1996 at 10:00 a.m. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />- Mr. March stated that he has contacted the furniture company that holds that state <br />contract and will be meeting with them regarding the council table. <br /> <br />CC6-10MM.WPS <br /> <br />4 <br />
