<br />~ <br /> <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br />NOVEMBER 13, 1996 <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of the City of Centerville held a <br />regular council meeting on November 13, 1996, at the City Hall. Acting Mayor <br />Helmbrecht called the meeting to order at 6:02 P.M. <br /> <br />PRESENT: Mary Jo Helmbrecht <br />Sanna Buckbee <br /> <br />Theresa Brenner <br /> <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Tom Wilharber <br />Laura Powers-Rasmussen <br /> <br />STAFF/CONSULTANTS: Jim March Gregory Hellings <br />Ry-Chel Gaustad Carolyn Drude <br />David Nyberg <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING - DELINQUENT UTILITIES: W A TER~ SEWER & <br />GARBAGE. <br />Helmbrecht opened the Delinquent Utilities Public Hearing. It was mentioned the city has <br />the authority to place delinquent utilities onto property taxes through the county. <br />Helmbrecht opened the floor for discussion. Joseph Salhstrom of 1605 Peltier Lake <br />Drive, objected to the late fees. Mr. Salhstrom presented canceled checks supporting his <br />objection. Mr. Salhstrom requested the council consider allowing residents to use any <br />garbage hauler. <br />Helmbrecht said his name will be removed from the assessment list. <br /> <br />MOTION by Brenner, seconded by Helmbrecht to close the public hearing. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION by Brenner, seconded by Helmbrecht to approve the resolution for the <br />delinquent sewer bills to be certified to the county auditor, under code 825.98. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />
