<br />City Council Meeting December 11, 1996 <br /> <br />completed a county plan and the cost seems to be less per city than if each city veered out <br />on their own. Spring Lake Park received a quote between $20,000. - $30,000 to complete <br />a wellhead protection plan for their city. Anoka County is working with the majority of <br />the cities to complete a county wide wellhead protection plan. Gaustad continued, <br />Centerville would pay about 3% of the cost, whereas, the cities of Coon Rapids, Blaine <br />and Anoka will pay the majority of the cost. Gaustad concluded, Anoka County Health <br />Department would like each interested city to enter into a joint powers agreement. <br /> <br />MOTION by Brenner, seconded by Powers-Rasmussen to enter into a joint powers <br />agreement with Anoka County. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />March mentioned a liaison and an alternate person was needed for the wellhead protection <br />plan. March suggested Gaustad be the liaison and himself the alternate. <br /> <br />MOTION by Wilharber, seconded by Buckbee to appoint Ry-Chel as the Liaison and Jim <br />as the alternate. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Powers-Rasmussen left at 8:25 PM. <br /> <br />Meeting with Jim Brimeyer was set for January 15, 1997 at 3:00 PM. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />ADMINISTRA TOR REPORTS <br />March reviewed the Capital Improvement list: <br />Center Oak drainage <br />Over sizing of water and sewer <br />Public Works Building <br />Snow plow replacement <br />Back hoe/ mower <br />Adding new parks to the area <br /> <br />Wilharber suggested the council create a high to low priority list for '97 goals and <br />objectives.
