<br />City Council Minutes from July 24, 1996 <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Senior Housing: Mr. Yantos will be presenting the resolution recently passed by council <br />to the full BRA board on July 23, 1996. Mr. Yantos will keep the city informed on the <br />progress of the project. <br /> <br />III Grant Application: On July 23, 1996, the city received notice that the grant <br />application was approved in the amount of$1700. This will be used to study the III <br />problem in the downtown area of the sanitary sewer system. <br /> <br />Local Government Aid: The Department of Revenue reported the LGA contribution is <br />approximately $7,000 higher than projected by the League of MN Cities. <br /> <br />City Budget: Workshop set up for 5:00 p.m. on August 14, 1996. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Brenner suggested having a "volunteer day" to install the city sign. She also reported the <br />sign would be in the parade during Fete des Lacs. <br /> <br />Powers-Rasmussen stated that complaints were still coming in regarding the garbage <br />service. March stated that Randy Hagerty is setting up a meeting with United Waste to <br />discuss these complaints. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Wilharber commended March for his involvement and hard work in his position. The <br />council agreed that he is a "keeper".
