Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Employee Cellular Phone I Pager Agreement <br /> <br />MOTION by Helmbrecht, second by Brenner to approve the employee cellular phone / <br />pager agreement as presented contingent upon the attorney's review and approval. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Building Permits for Maintenance <br /> <br />MOTION by Helmbrecht, second by Buckbee to direct staff to research amending the <br />ordinance for building permits on maintenance based on the dollar amount of the project. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Electrical Inspections <br /> <br />MOTION by Buckbee, second by Helmbrecht to direct staff to draft an agreement / <br />ordinance addressing Mr. Peterson, Suburban Inspections to conduct inspections. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Committee Reports <br /> <br />Tom commented on the fire department's excellent new "rig". He also mentioned the <br />police department is going to try to hold down the budget. <br /> <br />Tom explained the status of Eagle Pass; at the joint meeting with P&Z and P&R they have <br />decided to move the park to the southwest comer and the developer will also develop the <br />park. <br /> <br />Theresa reported that EDC is trying to improve communication between businesses by <br />inviting them to their meetings. <br /> <br />City Celebration <br /> <br />MaryJo stated volunteers are still needed. The city will be using the reserves and the <br />explorers to help with crowd control for the festivities. <br /> <br />MOTION by Helmbrecht, second by Powers-Rasmussen to approve a noise permit for the <br />City Celebration Street Dance to be conducted Saturday, July 27, 1996, from 7:00 p.m. to <br />midnight.
