City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />December 12, 2007 <br /> <br />1.Final Pay Estimate and Closeout, Volk Sewer & Water Inc. – Hunters Crossing <br />rd <br />3 Addition -- $61,813.15 <br /> <br />City Engineer Statz explained that this is the final pay request to close the project and <br />begin the one-year warrantee period. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Lakso, to approve <br />rd <br />Final Pay Estimate and Closeout, Volk Sewer & Water Inc. – Hunters Crossing 3 <br />Addition -- $61,813.15. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />2.Pay Estimate #3 and Final, Gustafson Excavating, Inc. – Fairview Street <br />Improvements -- $16,403.89 <br /> <br />City Engineer Statz reported that this project came in under the estimated amount and this <br />is the final pay request to close the project and begin the warrantee period. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard, seconded by Council Member Paar, to <br />approve Pay Estimate #3 and Final, Gustafson Excavating, Inc. – Fairview Street <br />Improvements for $16,403.89. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />3.Resolution #07-055 – Adjustments to the Pay Schedule for Non-Bargaining Unit <br />Staff <br /> <br />Finance Director Meyer stated that this includes the three percent cost of living <br />adjustment. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar seconded by Council Member Lakso, to approve <br />Resolution #07-055, a Resolution Providing for Adjustments to the Pay Schedule <br />for Non-Bargaining Unit Staff. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />4.Resolution #07-056 – Employee Benefits <br /> <br />Finance Director Meyer reported the biggest change to employee benefits is in how <br />insurance is provided to the employees. <br /> <br />Mr. Al Roth, AT Group, presented information on how employee insurance benefits are <br />provided. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra questioned if there was a set dollar amount that employees could use for <br />benefits. <br /> <br />Finance Director Meyer replied that was correct. He explained the change gives <br />employees the option to participate in a Health Savings Account. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued. <br /> <br /> Page 5 of 9 <br />
