City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />December 12, 2007 <br />Councilmember Broussard stated that she wanted to ensure Employer Liability coverage <br />is included if the City intends to self administrate. She requested a Certificate of Liability <br />Insurance from AT Group be required also. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lakso, seconded by Council Member Broussard, to <br />approve Resolution #07-056, a Resolution to Self-Administrate an Employee <br />Benefits Plan with Assistance from AFLAC with the additional stipulations of <br />insurance requirements. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />5.Resolution #07-057 – Adopting the Wellhead Protection Plan <br /> <br />Public Works Director Palzer reported that the Wellhead Protection Plan is completed. <br />He recommended this resolution be adopted to protect the City’s water supply. <br /> <br />City Glaser commented that he and City Administrator Larson are working on the <br />specifics of the code requirements and changes. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Lakso, to approve <br />Resolution #07-057, a Resolution Adopting the Wellhead Protection Plan as <br />presented. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />6.City Hall Hours on Christmas Eve Day <br /> <br />Mayor Capra stated that generally the unwritten rule is that staff leaves at noon on <br />Christmas Eve Day. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lakso, seconded by Council Member Paar, to approve <br />City Hall Staff Leave at 12:00 Noon on Christmas Eve Day with the remaining four <br />hours to be employee PTO time. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />7. City Hall/Fire Station Outdoor/Security Lighting Replacement <br /> <br />Mayor Capra questioned why this is not paid for by the Fire Department. She stated that <br />she requires additional information before a decision could be made. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Palzer stated that the breaker box is on the Fire Department side <br />and it is maintained by City Hall. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued. <br /> <br />Motion Lakso, seconded by Councilmember Broussard, to authorize City <br />Administrator Larson and Public Works Director Palzer to determine the best <br />option, not to exceed $2,000, with the understanding that Public Works accomplish <br />City Hall/Fire Station Outdoor/Security Lighting Replacement, if appropriate. All <br />in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Page 6 of 9 <br />
