<br />Automotive Drive Line (ADL) Special Use Permit - 4 <br />Mr. March reported Mr. Kozar (ADL) requested to delay paving ADL's parking lot until the <br />ground settles. Mr. March requested the City Engineer's opinion on the request to delay paving t <br />in the employee parking lot. Mr. Nyberg replied the city ordinance requires curb, gutter and all <br />parking lots paved. Nevertheless, since the ground could settle, a designated time frame should <br />be established when the paving will be completed. Councilmember Buckbee suggested a two-year <br />time frame. <br /> <br />Councilmember Powers returned to the Council Chambers at 8:32 p.m. <br /> <br />MOTION by Buckbee to approve ADL's Special Use Permit clause allowing Class 5 gravel in <br />the employee parking lot up to two years or until 21st Avenue is paved. Motion seconded by <br />Councilmember Brenner. Helmbrecht - Aye, Buckbee - Aye, Brenner - Aye, Powers - Nay. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Downtown Revitalization Update- <br />Councilmember Brenner reported the EDC public hearing had a good turn out. Discussion <br />concluded to develop a downtown theme and develop a sub committee. Issues identified at the <br />public hearing were: time frame, task and focus. Councilmember Brenner requested the Council <br />appoint and recognize the subcommittee. <br /> <br />t <br />4 <br /> <br />Mr. March reported a complaint was received from a property owner in regards to an existing <br />business. The complainant is requesting the City to ask the business to remove equipment from <br />the rear of the business since this is interfering with the sale of their home. Councilmember <br />Buckbee asked if the business was in compliance with City ordinance. Mr. March replied, the <br />business is in compliance with the ordinances. <br /> <br />MOTION by Councilmember Brenner to adjourn the June 25, 1997 meeting. Motion seconded <br />by Councilmember Helmbrecht.
