<br />t <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br /> <br />Resolution 97-08 North Metro Recreation <br />Mr. March explained there has been a consensus among the cities to dissolve North Metro <br />Recreation. Further, the staff is researching other options. Mr. March planned to meet with <br />Barry Bernstein from the Lino Lakes Park and Recreation Department to see if Centerville can <br />contract with Lino Lakes for Park and Recreation activities. <br /> <br />Councilmember Powers asked "What was Park and Rec's comments on the contract or joining in <br />with Lino Lakes?" Mr. March commented Park and Rec would like to try and contract now and <br />look into a Joint Powers Agreement in the future. Councilmember Helmbrecht asked, "Would the <br />fees be altered if contracted?" Mr. March planned to discuss the fees with Barry Bernstein and if <br />the information is favorable, he may ask Mr. Bernstein to come to a Park and Recreation Meeting. <br /> <br />MOTION by Councilmember Buckbee, seconded by Councilmember Brenner to adopt <br />Resolution 97-08. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Annual Review for Jim March - <br />MOTION by Councilmember Helmbrecht, seconded by Councilmember Powers to appoint staff <br />to get a quotation from Mr. Jim Brimeyer for evaluation purposes. Additionally, comments for <br />the review should be sought from staff. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br /> <br />Senior Housing Update - <br />Councilmember Brenner reported Mark Ruff, Tim Yantos, Jim March and herself had a <br />conference call. The Barett family accepted addendum #2 ofthe purchase agreement. There will <br />be a $200.00 pre-registration deposit to reserve a unit. Pre-reservation will begin on June 9, and <br />continue until the end of the week. <br /> <br />MOTION by Councilmember Brenner, seconded by Powers to approve addendum #2 ofthe <br />purchase agreement between the City ofCenterville and the Barett family. Motion carried. <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATORS REPORT: <br /> <br />The internship - Troy Bonkowske <br />Mr. March explained Mr. Troy Bonkowske began an internship on Monday. <br /> <br />Gas Tax Refund <br />Mr. March explained the City submitted an application for a gas tax refund, which was accepted. <br />The City will be getting a gas tax fund back in the amount of$533.87. <br /> <br />I <br />
