<br />City Council Meeting January 8, 1997 <br /> <br />Council discussed each position and appointed persons as indicated on resolution 97-01. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Nyberg thanked the council for re-electing MSA Engineering Consultants as the City <br />Engineer. As it has been a pleasure working with Jim, Ry-Chel and Paul, council has a <br />good team and he looks forward to working with them and the city. <br /> <br />City Goals and Objectives - <br />MOTION by Brenner, seconded by Powers-Rasmussen to direct staff to research <br />advisors for the City's goals and objectives. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mound Trail Park Property - <br />MOTION by Buckbee, seconded by Helmbrecht to direct City staff to contact Anoka <br />County and coordinate trailway dedication. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Flashers at school crossing - Buckbee asked who would be responsible to pay for the <br />engineering study, City or the County? March mentioned he would check on it. Buckbee <br />suggested waiting until the council knew who would pay for the traffic study. <br /> <br />Clerk/Administrator Authorized to Sign City Checks - <br />MOTION by Wilharber, seconded by Buckbee to authorize Jim March to sign city <br />checks. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Clerk/ Administrator Pay Increase - <br />MOTION by Helmbrecht, seconded by Buckbee to approve a pay increase of $5,000. <br />retroactive to November 20, 1996. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Use of Laurie LaMotte Park - <br />Wilharber volunteered to check on farm land rental prices. <br /> <br />Resolution 97-02- <br />MOTION by Buckbee, seconded by Helmbrecht to set the fee structure identified in <br />resolution 97-02, for City ofCenterville. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Resolution 97-03 - <br />MOTION by Buckbee, seconded by Helmbrecht to approve Jim March as Responsible <br />Authority.
