~ CITY OF CENTERVILLE CITY COUNCIL MEETING WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 1997 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of the City of Centerville held their regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, September 24, 1997 in the Council Chambers ofthe City Hall, 1880 Main Street. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Tom Wilharber at 6:00 p.m. COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Tom Wilharber Council Members: Mary Jo Helmbrecht Theresa Brenner ABSENT: Council Members: Sanna Buckbee Laura Powers STAFF PRESENT: City Administrator Jim March City Clerk Ry-Chel Gaustad Public W orks/Building Official Paul Palzer City Engineer David Nyberg ****************************************************************************** CALL TO ORDER PUBLIC HEARING CONTINUED TO CONSIDER TAX INCREMENT FINANCING Mr. March explained the public hearing is a continuation from August 27, 1997. Also, Mr. March noted the purpose of the public hearing is to provide modification to Tax Increment District 1-3. Mr. Sid Inman (Ehlers & Associates Financial Advisor) explained the modifications to district 1-3 will allow the City to disburse TIF funds for park dedication, sewer and water updates and senior housing needs. There was no further discussion. MOTION by Councilmember Brenner to close the public hearing at 6:05 p.m. Motion seconded by Councilmember Helmbrecht. Motion carried unanimously. PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER SENIOR HOUSING GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS Senior housing GO bonds public hearing opened at 6:05 p.m. It Mr. Inman reported the Council will have an opportunity to pass a resolution in October to back the bonds for a senior housing facility. There was no further discussion.
