<br />City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />December 26, 2007 <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson provided additional information on the new telephone system. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued. <br /> <br />After discussion, the matter was tabled in order for staff to gather more information on <br />the proposals and the cost to move the existing system. <br /> <br />4. Resolution #07-063 - Sponsorship of the Attached Community Development <br />Block Grant Application. <br /> <br />Finance Director Meyer provided additional information on the Community <br />Development Block Grant application. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lakso. seconded by Council Member Paar. to approve <br />Resolution #07-063. Sponsorship of the Community Development Block Grant <br />Application. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />5. Consider Purchase Agreement of Lots 8 and 1301 Block 7 - Centerville ($22501500) <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson provided additional information on the purchase agreement. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lakso. seconded by Council Member Paar. to approve <br />the execution of the purchase a2reement for Lots 8 and 13. Block 7. Centerville. in <br />the amount of $225.500. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. League of Cities Leadership Conference for Experienced Officials <br /> <br />Councilmember Lakso reported the dates are January 18-19, 2008 and questioned <br />whether the City would cover the cost to attend. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar. seconded by Council Member Lakso. to authorize <br />expenses for members of the Council to attend the Lea2Ue of Minnesota Cities <br />Leadership Conference. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />7. Centerville Business Promotions <br /> <br />The Council discussed a proposal to participate in a series of promotional activities in <br />support of local business. The first would be centered on the Lions Ice Fishing contest in <br />February. <br /> <br />Council reached consensus that they had already authorized the use of remaining EDA <br />funds for community promotions. <br /> <br />IX.
