<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of <br />the City of Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, <br />October 8, 1980 in Centerville City Hall. Acting Mayor Savela <br />called the meeting to order at 8:00 pm. ~resent were: L'Allier, <br />Laska and Murray. Absent: Burque. <br /> <br />Correction to the September 25, 1980 City Council meeting <br />minutes is as follows: Paragraph 5: "If Westward Construction <br />builds home with 65' front yard setback, home being 24 x 38, <br />the rear yard setback would be only 26 feet. Motion by Laska, <br />second by L'Allier to approve September 25 meeting minutes with <br />correction as noted, motion carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: Complaint voiced on way contractor <br />of superette is dragging gravel and dirt on Mill Road. Building <br />Inspector to be advised on problem. <br /> <br />Messrs. Jeff and Jim Gardner of Gardner-Seim Construction <br />appeared before council with proposal to build "twin-homes" <br />in the Rehbein Estates development. They propose to build <br />these homes on Lots I - 6 of Block 1, and Lots 2 - 7 of Block <br />2, Rehbein Estates. The homes are financed through FHA at <br />4% financing. Copy of FHA PARTY WALL AND MAINTENANC~ AGR~nMENT <br />FOR TWIN PL~XES is on file with clerk. Discussion was held <br />on the proposal; each home would be 1144 square feet, separate <br />building permit for each twin home, owner occupied, zero lot <br />line and wye connection from single stub in easement for city <br />sewer. Motion by L'Allier, second by Laska to approve the <br />concept of the twin home construction in Rehbein Estates <br />with zero lot line and wye connection for city sewer from <br />one stub in easement, motion carried. They are also informed <br />at this time that building permits for construction of the <br />twin homes will be in effect until November 4th of this year <br />at which time clerk will check with Engineer before issuing <br />any additional permits in Rehbein ~states. <br /> <br />Mr. Willie Lessard, representing Lake Area Utilities, appeared <br />before council requesting approval of building to be erected <br />on Joe LaCasse property at 6995 20th Avenue, building being <br />a metal pole construction 60 x 98 feet, unheated for storage. <br />Motion by Laska, second by Murray to approve construction of <br />60 x 98 metal pole building on the property located at 6995 <br />20th Avenue, motion carried. <br /> <br />Council instructed Harvey vartier to flush sewer lines in <br />City with Orville Hughes' assistance. <br /> <br />Letter from Cliff Holman of the Centennial School District <br />was tabled until first of 1981. <br /> <br />Discussion held on financing of Improvement #80-1. Clerk <br />advised council that First State bank of nugo will finance <br />project for 10 year period at 8~%. Engineer Williams <br />presented plans for Improvement #80-1. Motion by L'Allier, <br />second by Laska to adopt Resolution Approving Plans and <br />Specifications and Ordering Advertisement for Bids on <br />Improvement #80-1, motion carried. Copy of Resolution is <br />attached to and made a part of these minutes. <br />
