<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council <br />of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting on <br />Wednesday, April 9, 1980 in City Hall. Mayor Prachar <br />called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Present were: <br />Burque, L'Allier, Laska and Savela. <br /> <br />Motion by Savela, second by Laska to accept the minutes <br />of the March 26th meeting with the following correction: <br /> <br />Paragraph 5 - "Motion by L'Allier, second by Savela to <br />purchase the 10 acre piece of property at $2,000. per <br />acre; large pile of dirt on land for $700. and split <br />the survey cost of approximately $660", motion carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: Mayor brought the council <br />up to date on meeting with Messrs. Emerick, Williams <br />and Krieger on the street restoration project. <br /> <br />Discussion was held on position of mail boxes on resident <br />property. Motion by Burque, second by Laska to serve <br />notice on property owners that mail boxes should be <br />positioned on their property in proper place so that <br />mailman will not have to drive over curb to deliver mail, <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />Discussion held on persons who attend functions at St. <br />Genevieve's Church and do not observe "No Parking Between <br />Signs" on Sorel Street. Curb between signs will be painted <br />yellow as soon as possible and clerk will advise Monsignor <br />Lally about this problem and request him to inform members <br />of the church of same. <br /> <br />Audit proposals were presented. Motion by Burque, second <br />by Savela to table matter until next meeting in order for <br />Clerk to request additional information from the two firms <br />concerning modified accrual basis accounting, motion carried. <br /> <br />Jerry Sundberg appearea before council and presented print <br />of proposed fire hall addition to be used as plan for the <br />informational meeting on the 17th of April. <br /> <br />Leon L'Allier reported on the Park & Recreation Committee <br />meeting held on the 7th of April concerning the five-year <br />development plan for the park area which will be a part <br />of the grant application being drawn up by Mr. Rosefelt <br />of the Minnesota Project. <br /> <br />Motion by Burque, second by Laska to adopt Resolution <br />Appointing Election Judges for the ~pecial ~lection to be <br />held on Tuesday, April 22, motion carried. Copy of Resolution <br />is attached to and made a part of these minutes. <br />
