<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of <br />the City of Centerville held their regular meeting on <br />Wednesday, February 11, 1981 in the City Hall. Mayor Savela <br />called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Present were L'Allier, <br />Laska and Wilharber. Absent: Murray. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Laska to accept minutes of <br />January 28th meeting, motion carried. <br /> <br />P~TITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: Notify Police Department to see if <br />a representative can appear at one council each month to <br />report on their activities in our City. Complaint on car <br />parking in lot next to rectory overnight and owner of vehicle <br />should be advised to move it. <br /> <br />Letter from Walt Williams concerning street widths and lengths <br />for no parking sign placement was discussed. Matter tabled <br />until Spring. Requested reporter from the Pines to make note <br />in his published minutes of the City's intention to allow parking <br />on only one side o.f City streets sometime around April-May <br />of this year so the residents are aware of the City's inten- <br />tions. <br /> <br />Joint ~owers Agreement was discussed. Questions arose on <br />Item #5 of the agreement. Mayor was to check with insurance <br />carrier on this and clerk to send agreement and ordinance #19 <br />to attorney for opinion. <br /> <br />Communications noted from Anoka County in reference to the <br />County Comprehensive Plan and Metropolitan Council on receipt <br />of the City's Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Debra Martin of the Lutheran Social Service Community Advisory <br />Board appeared before council with details of program avail- <br />able to residents of Lexington, Circle Pines, Lino Lakes and <br />Centerville particularly in the counseling field. She would <br />like a representative from Centerville on the board meeting <br />four times a year in her Centennial Junior High office. <br />Reporter was to make mention in our meeting minutes in the <br />Pines requesting anyone interested in position to call either <br />Mayor Savela or City Hall. <br /> <br />Jim Gardner appeared before council with questions on our <br />Ordinance #31 in reference to licensing of contractors doing <br />work in Centerville. He was concerned with the bonding require- <br />ment for a~l contractors, general or sub. Matter was tabled <br />until the March 11th meeting when our attorney will be in <br />attendance for council to request opinion. <br /> <br />Councilman Murray arrived at meeting. <br /> <br />Motion by L'Allier, second by Laska to pay Harvey Cartier <br />an additional $1.50 per hour when he uses his own equipment <br />doing City work, motion carried. January claim form from <br />Harvey stated 3t hours of his equipment use. <br />
