<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of <br />the City of Centerville held a special meeting on TueEday, <br />August 18, 1981 in City Hall. Mayor Savela called the meeting <br />to order at 7:00 PM. Present were: L'Allier, Laska, Murray; <br />Absent: Wilharber. <br /> <br />Special meeting was held to review bids on Centerville City <br />Park and Seal Coating of streets. <br /> <br />The bids for rough grading of the park were opened on Tuesday <br />morning, August 18, 1981 at 10:00 AM in City Hall. Bids were <br />as follows: <br /> <br />W. G. Rehbein Bros. - $16,145.00 <br />Lino Contracting - $19,480.00 <br /> <br />Motion by L'Allier, second by Laska to adopt Resolution <br />awarding the contract to W & G Rehbein Bros., motion carried. <br />Copy of Resolution is attached to and made a part of these <br />minutes. <br /> <br />The bids received for the backstop and wings were discussed. <br />Two bids have been received: <br /> <br />Metropolitan Fence - $1828.00 <br />D & V Trucking - $2]0].00 <br /> <br />Motion by Laska, second by Murray to adopt Resolution awarding <br />the contract to Metropolitan Fence, motion carried. Copy of <br />Resolution is attached to and made a part of these minutes. <br />It was also noted that the contribution from the Centerville <br />Lions Club of $1,500. would go toward construction of the <br />backstop and wings. <br /> <br />The bids for seal coating of city streets were opened on Tuesday, <br />August 18, 1981 at 10:JO AM in City Halli Bids were as follows: <br /> <br />Allied Blacktop Company - $31,281.8J <br />T. A. Schifsky & Sons - $30,654.80 <br /> <br />Motion by Laska, second by Murray to adopt l~esolution awarding <br />the contract to T. A. Schifsky & Sons, motion carried. Copy <br />of rtesolution is attached to and made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />Motion by L'Allier, second by Laska to adjourn meeting, motion <br />carried.
