<br />page two - City Council <br />meeting minutes - <br />August 12,1981 <br /> <br />Several residents from ~aValle Drive and Mr. Bumgarner from <br />Twin Lakes Pavillion were in attendance voicing opinions on <br />the softball tournaments held at Twin Lakes ballfield. Mr. <br />Zimny summarized items of complaint to Countil and Attorney <br />as stated in July 22 meeting minutes. After considerable <br />discussion, Mayor Savela appointed a committee of 5 residents <br />and Councilman Wilharber to draw up regulations for softball <br />tournaments. Committee consists of Wilharber, Chairman; Lloyd <br />Welk, Don Bumgarner, Bob Lindgren, .r'rank ~imny and Jim Maher. <br />Several items to be considered: (1) off duty patrolman in <br />attendance; (2) control on hours of alcohol consumption; <br />(3) adequate number of satellites for sanitation purposes; <br />(4) raising the damage depo si t; (5) appearance o[ i ssuee <br />before Ci ty Council at least ten u-(fay-s~ before tournament; <br />(6) parking problems. Motion by L'Allier, second by Wilharber, <br />for any permits issued after this date to have council <br />approval, motion carried. <br /> <br />Two representatives of the Community Counseling Program in <br />Anoka County appeared before council with request for <br />contribution of $250. to help defray the cost of printing <br />up an informational booklet which would be mailed to all <br />Centennial District #12 residents. Motion by Murray. second <br />by L'Allier to contribute the $250. if they can find the <br />rest of the funding amounting to $1,000., motion carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Laska, second by Wilharber to issue a 3.2 Beer <br />permit and bingo game permit to St. Genevieve's Church for <br />their annual picnic, Sunday, August 16th, motion carried. <br />They will also be roping off one block of Goiffon between <br />the church and parish house which will be manned in case of <br />emergencie s. <br /> <br />Motion by Laska, second by Wilharber to adopt rtesolution <br />Calling Hearing on Street and utility ~asement Vacation, <br />motion carried. Copy of Resolu1ion is attached to and made <br />a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />Motion by L'Allier, second by Wilharber to adopt Resolution <br />Calling Hearing on Street Vacation, motion carried. Copy <br />of nesolution is attached to and made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />Motion by L'Allier, second by Laska to adopt Resolution <br />Declaring Cost to be Assessed and Ordering Preparation <br />of Proposed Assessment, motion carried. Copy of Resolution <br />is attached to and made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />Motion by Laska, second by Wilharber to adopt Resolution <br />Approving Plans and Specifications and Ordering Advertisement <br />for BidS, motion carried. Copy of Resolution is attached <br />to and made a part of these minutes. <br />
