<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of <br />the City of Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, <br />July 8, 1981 in City Hall. Mayor Savela called the meeting <br />to order at 8:00 pm. Present were: Laska, Murray and Wilharber, <br />L'Allier arrived 15 minutes later. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Laska to approve minutes of June <br />24, 1981, motion carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: House being moved in on Shad Avenue, <br />weed cutting on city right-of-way, contacting Metropolitan <br />Fence about quote on fence for around lift stations, contact <br />Police about enforcing NO PARKING ANYTIM~ signs and people <br />not stopping for 20th Avenue & Main Street stop sign. <br /> <br />Discussion of finalization on street restoration projec~. <br />Northern Asphalt has finished repair work on the nine items <br />previously discussed to the satisfaction of the City Engineer. <br />Motion by Laska, second by Murray to finalize project and <br />issue a check in the amount of $15,332.25 to Northern Asphalt, <br />motion carried. Engineer was to get bids on repairing 2 bad <br />spots; one on Mill Road and one on Peltier Lake Drive and 'also <br />bid on seal coating of streets. <br /> <br />Patch on Mill Road in front of 7184 will be repaired by Major <br />Construction in the near future. <br /> <br />Resolution on Cable TV approving the Joint and Cooperative <br />Agreement was discussed. Theodore Gonsior and Lu Prachar <br />were named Directors and Debbie Gonsio~ and Mary Lou Wilharber <br />as alternates on the North Central Suburban Cable Communications <br />Commission. Motion by Wilharber, second by L'Allier to adopt <br />Resolution approving the Joint and Cooperative Agreement <br />creating the North Central Suburban Cable Communications <br />Commission, motion carried. <br /> <br />Resolutions received from the City of Hugo will be discussed <br />at next meeting in July. <br /> <br />Discussion on the culvert drainage problem on Al L'Allier property. <br /> <br />Clerk opened the bids on the Centerville City Park and were <br />as follows: <br />Backstop and Wings - Metropolitan Fence $1,828.00 <br />Parking Lot Base Material - Central Landscaping - <br />Method I - $6,352.50 <br />Method II - $2,700.00 <br />Topsoil and Seeding - Central Landscaping - <br />Method I - 1),834.00 <br />Method II - $7,270.00 <br />Topsoil and Seeding - Lincoln Landscaping - <br />Method I - 16,012.50 <br />Method II - $7,927.50 <br />
