<br />page two - City Council <br />meeting minutes <br />July 8, 1981 <br /> <br />Because the City did not recieve any of the grading bids, <br />matter and decision on bids was tabled until the next meeting, <br />July 22. <br /> <br />Fire Department has submitted a bid of $950. for cutting down <br />the three diseased elm trees on city property. Motion by <br />Laska, second by L'Allier to accept bid from Fire Department <br />of $950. for the disposal of three trees on city property, <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />Letter from Gardner-Seim Construction Company was discussed. <br />Motion by L'Allier, second by Laska to grant a three month <br />extension on the submittal of GARDNER ~STAT~S #1 final plat, <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />Permit application for approval of grading, sediment-erosion <br />control plan for Centerville Gity Park will be sent to <br />Rice Creek Watershed District. <br /> <br />Discussion on P~LTI~R LAKE HILLS ADDITION maintenance bond; <br />water problem for property owners on each side of city owned <br />lot on Mill Road. <br /> <br />Clerk advised council of P & Z meeting on Tuesday, July <br />14 for discussion and work session on proposed zoning <br />ordinance. Council is invited to join P & 6 for work session. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Murray to pay current disburse- <br />ments, motion carried. Copy of receipts and disbursements <br />is attached to and made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />Balance of meeting was spent discussing the compensation <br />due Barton-Aschmann Associates on preparation of the City <br />Comprehensive Plan-. Mr. Short, City Planner, was in <br />attendance and gave brief presentation of his time spent <br />in preparing the plan. Council and attorney reviewed contract <br />between Barton-Aschmann and City of Centerville and found <br />that the City is not liable for any compensation over $3,100. <br />The amount of plan preparation is or will be approximately <br />$12,000. The City will be applyipg for discretionary funds <br />through Metropolitan Council which we have been told would <br />be approximately $1.800.(if approved). Council consensus <br />was to submit the $1,800. (if received) to Barton-Aschmann <br />and consider the bill paid. Matter will be tabled until <br />City is advised on their application. <br /> <br />Motion by L'Allier, second by Murray to apply for the <br />discretionary funds available to the cities, motion carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Murray, second by L'Allier to adjourn meeting, <br />motion carried.
