<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of <br />the City of Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, <br />May 27, 1981 in City Hall. Mayor Savela called the meeting <br />to order at 8:00 pm. Present were: Laska, Murray and Wilharber; <br />absent: L'A11ier (arrived 8:10 pm.) <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Laska to accept minutes of May <br />13, 1981 meeting, motion carried. Motion by Wilharber, second <br />by Murray to accept minutes of public hearing held May IJ, <br />1981, motion carried. <br /> <br />P~TITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: Complaint on vehicles travelling <br />on Mound Trail believing it is the Anoka County Park road. <br />Clerk to call Mr. Torkildson of Park Department to request <br />a sign designating location of park road. <br /> <br />Street Improvement #1 was discussed. Council members had <br />walked streets prior to meeting and found additional areas <br />that needed repair in addition to recommendations made by. <br />Engineer in letter of May I). After discussion with Mr~. <br />Carley and Walt Williams concerning situation, the clerk was <br />instructed to request Mr. ~merick to appear at June 10th <br />council meeting to discuss final payment on project. <br /> <br />CETA employee will commence working for City June 8th. Dis- <br />cussion on things for him to do: clean up ball park area <br />behind school, paint boards on inside of rink, rake beach <br />area by Berg's house, some clean up of Clearwater Creek. <br /> <br />~ngineer was instructed to request Major Construction to <br />fix street in front of 7184 Mill Road by June loth. <br /> <br />A representative from Sussel Company appeared before City <br />Council requesting a variance to Ordinance #10, Section IV- <br />Building Size and Location (A). The variance request is for <br />the home being built on Lot 1, Block 2, ~eltier Lake Hills <br />Addition-1701 Peltier Lake Drive in the name of Elkin. <br />Motion by L'Allier, second by Wilharber to grant variance <br />to ORDINANC~ #10, S~CTION IV-BUILDING SIZ~ AND LOCATION (A) <br />on the home at 1701 Peltier Lake Drive, motion carried. <br />Variance is granted because of a construction error in square <br />footage of four (4) feet, consequently home is 896 square <br />feet. <br /> <br />Messrs. Granger and Husnick appeared before council for <br />discussion on Peltier Lake Hills Addition #2 proposed plat. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Murray to adopt amendment <br />to Ordinance #30, Section 17-COLLECTION OF D~LINQU~NT CHAHG~S <br />motion carried. Copy of amendment is attached to and made <br />a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Motion by Laska, second byL'.Allier to grant permission to <br />Northwestern Bell Telephone Company to place, construct and <br />thereafter maintain buried cable on Heritage Street and Cen- <br />tervil1e Road as shown on their sketch, motion carried. <br />
