Meeting adjourned at 7:40 PM. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Laska to open public hearing <br />continued from January 27, 1982 on VACATION OF STRE~T AND <br />UTILITY EASEMENTS LOCATED WITHIN THE PLAT OF PELTIER HILLS <br />ADDITION, motion carried. Clerk read notice of hearing on <br />Vacation of Street and Utility Easements within the Plat of <br />Peltier Hills Addition. Motion by Laska, second by L'Allier, <br />to adopt Resolution VACATING CERTAIN STREET AND UTILITY <br />EASEMENTS, roll call taken: Laska, aye; L'Allier, aye; <br />Murray, aye; Wilharber, aye; Savela, aye; motion carried. <br />Copy of Resolution is attached to and made a part of these <br />minutes. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Laska to adjourn hearing, <br />motion carried. Hearing adjourned at 7:4) pm. <br /> <br />Motion by L' Allier, second by Wilharber to. re-open council <br />meeting, motion carried. Meeting re-opened at 7:44 pm. <br /> <br />Discussion was held on City Engineer designation for 1982. <br />Council members and parties in audience voiced opinions on <br />firms under consideration. Motion by L'Allier, second by <br />Wilharber to appoint Milner W. Carley & Associates as Center- <br />ville City Engineer for 1982 providing they will not do any <br />private work for developers and/or developments within Center- <br />ville, motion carried. Professional services agreement <br />between Carley & Associates and the City of Centerville will <br />be signed by Mayor and Cle,rk. <br /> <br />Consensus of council to close skating rink on Sunday, February <br />28th for the season. <br /> <br />Discussion held on S.F. 1677 (H.F. 1738), A BILL FOR AN ACT <br />RELATING TO MUNICIPAL PLANNING AND ZONING, PROHIBITING <br />EXCLUSION OF MANUFACTURED HOMES AND OTHER TYPES OF SINGLE <br />FAMILY DWELLINGS; amending Minnesota Statutes 1980, Section <br />462.357, Subdivision 1. Motion by Wilharber, second by <br />L'Allier for council to go on record against the passage of <br />this bill and advise authors of same, motion carried. <br /> <br />Clerk advised council on meeting she had attended concerning <br />local government aid and homestead credit payments to city <br />and shade tree program being dissolved.
