City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />January 23, 2008 <br />Council Member Lee questioned the dollar amount. <br />City Engineer Statz explained the items requiring payment were excluded from the last <br />payment request. <br />Council Member Lee stated that about 25% of the plantings would need to be looked at in <br />the spring and questioned whether enough money is being held for possible replacement <br />of this plantings. <br />City Engineer Statz replied stated that he felt that enough money for replacement of these <br />plantings has been held. <br />A.J. Ross Concrete & Masonry Request for Payment -Well House #1 -- $7,150 <br />(Recommending 90% - $6,435 <br />City Administrator Larson explained that the project was not bid on a unit basis, so the <br />value of completed work is an estimate. As a precaution, staff is recommending that only <br />90% of the estimate be paid at this time. <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Broussard-Vickers, <br />to approve Consent Agenda Items 6 and 7. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />VL AWARDS/PRESENTATIONS/APPEARANCES <br />None <br />VII. OLD BUSINESS <br />Consideration of Accepting Pheasant Marsh 3rd Addition Project as Complete <br />Subject to Filing of Maintenance Bond <br />City Administrator Larson explained that the applicant provided a maintenance bond and <br />recommended the City take over the perpetual improvements. <br />Council Member Lee questioned the process. <br />City Engineer Statz explained that cities generally accept a project automatically after a <br />period of time; however, Centerville requests official documentation to that fact. He <br />stated that the developer provides a two year warranty and routine inspections have been <br />completed. <br />Discussion ensued. <br />Motion by Council Member Lakso, seconded by Council Member Broussard- <br />Vickers, to Accept the Pheasant Marsh 3rd Addition Proiect as Complete Subiect to <br />Page 3 of 7 <br />
