City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />January 9, 2008 <br />VII. OLD BUSINESS <br />1. Consider Approval of Power Line Relocation on Heritage Street <br />City Administrator Larson provided the background information on the power line <br />relocation on Heritage Street. He stated meetings have been held with the affected <br />property owners. He recommended that an additional letter would be sent to these <br />property owners after it is approved. <br />Councilmember Paar questioned whether the City would have adequate right of way in <br />this location. <br />City Attorney replied the City always has a right of way in the front yards and that the <br />city has more authority with regard to tree trimming and tree removal if they interfere <br />with the us of the right of way. <br />Discussion ensued. <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Paar, to authorize <br />the Power Line Relocation on Heritage Street. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />VIII. NEW BUSINESS <br />1. Resolution #08-001 -Authorizing Appointments for 2008 <br />Mayor Capra stated she spoke to the City Clerk about the Health Officer and to see <br />whether Anoka County had a Heath Nurse that would act as Centerville's Health Officer. <br />Each appointment was reviewed and confirmed. <br />Councilmember Broussard-Vickers was authorized to sign checks in case of the absence <br />of City Administrator Larson. <br />Councilmember Paar was added as the alternate on the Police Joint Powers Agreement <br />Committee. <br />City Attorney Glaser requested that only his name be listed as his partner (Burstein) is <br />leaving the firm. <br />Fire Marshall Milo Bennett will be retiring; consequently, and a new appointee will be <br />required later this year <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Lakso, to approve <br />Resolution #08-001, a Resolution Authorizing Appointments for 2008. All in favor. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Page 3 of 5 <br />
