(Main St.) (35W - 35E) 3-Lane* with some medlens
CSAH 14 and 35E Interchange Undecided configuration
CSAH 21 (Centervllle Rd.) (Main - Heritage) City Initiated recon. (3-Lane*)
CSAH 54 South of Main Recon. with CSAH 14 proJ.

Staae
Bidding
Planning
Planning
Bidding

*3-Lane refers to a two lane roadway with a center turn lane as depicted below.

CSAH 14 Reconstruction

One of the current
transportation projects
most Important to
Centervllle Is the
County State Aid
Highway 14
reconstructlon.

At the time of this
report, the county Is
bidding for the
reconstructlon of CSAH
14 between 1-35W and
1-35E. The project will j--
upgrade the current -
two-lane, undMded
road to a "3-Lane" with some medians. A "3-Lane" rafers to a two lane highway dMded
by a center, common left turn lane running the length of the project. Between 1-35E and
21st Ave. (CSAH 54), there Is a center median which restricts left turns onto or off of the
county highway. At the Intersectlon of 20th Ave. and CSAH 14, the median allows
westbound CSAH 14 traffic to turn left onto 20th Ave., but does not allow northbound
20th Ave. treffic to turn left onto CSAH14. This Is depicted on the Transportation System
map as a "3/4 movement Intersectlon". The City has constructed a "Backage Road"
connectlon between 20th and 21 st. In part, to offset the affects of these new turning
restrictlons.

;: ','-(1" J. j. The median extends west from 21st Ave. restrlctlng access to a right-In,
rlght-out scenario between 21 st Ave. and Cottonwood Court. The Intersectlon at
Cottonwood Court Is unrestricted (all movements allowed).

The project does not Include signalizing the Intersection of CSAH 14 and CSAH 21, but
allows for It to become one when warrants are met.

38
