Meeting Minutes <br />September 13, 1989 <br />Page Eight <br />Transit Representative. It was suggested that Council member <br />Pelton work towards the possibility of obtaining said grant as she <br />has had experience with the 1988 park grant. <br />Motion by Haberman, second by Burgstahler that if Council member <br />Pelton has time to work on the Community Transit Planning Grant <br />proposal before the October 5, 1989 deadline, she is authorized to <br />do so, however, should this grant be a yearly grant project, the <br />proposal shall be worked on for the 1990 year, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Neumann to approve the following <br />consent agenda items: <br />- removal of a dying tree in the street right of way at <br />7048 Progress Road, for a cost not to exceed $500.00; <br />direction is given to the Public Works Director to obtain <br />bids for the yearly sewer maintenance program accepting <br />the lowest bid not to exceed $9,000,00 and to proceed <br />with the scheduled sewer cleaning; <br />resolution declaring September as Humane Society Month; <br />approval of the City of Centerville's continued <br />participation in the Anoka County Community Development <br />Block Grant program for the time period 1990 through <br />1992; <br />approval of authority to the Clerk/Administrator to <br />continue to hire Debra Gonsior as a temporary employee <br />for special/miscellaneous projects on an as needed basis <br />and/or for required time periods recognizing budgetary <br />constraints, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br />Motion by Haberman, second by Peterson to appoint Marty Asleson as <br />City Forester and allow him to come up with recommendations to the <br />City with regard to a City Tree plan; contingent upon his <br />acceptance of the position, motion carried unanimously. <br />Motion by Haberman, second by Peterson to request that the Planning <br />and zoning Commission review Ordinance # 8, sections 43.02-1&2, and <br />43.03-5 regarding storm water runoff and elevation grade; they are <br />to investigate the City need for final grade plans, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Neumann to accept the current <br />payment of claims, motion carried unanimously. <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Peterson to adjourn the meeting, <br />emotion carried unanimously. Meeting adjourned at 10:20 p.m. <br />
