Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the City council of the
City of Centerville held their regular meeting on November 20, 1989
at city Hall. Glocke advised the Council that in addition
to the Light Rail Transit Committee he is also on the Anoka County
Public Transit Committee as a representative for Centerville.

Glocke noted several items with regard to Light Rail Transit.

The current proposal is to hook up Anoka County to
Minneapolis. It is estimated that it would take 10 to
20 years for the completion of such project.

A proposal of the Regional Transit Board is dial a ride
transit.

That money is available for the Anoka County Traveler
until March 1, 1990.

That it is possible that a proposal is available in
Washington County for going up the freeway to Forest Lake
with Light Rail Transit.

Studies show that most of the people are in the western
sections of the metro area, and of primary concern is the
congestion around Highway 65 and Highway 10.

A possible park and ride or bus system to the Light Rail
Transit lines from east to west are a probability.
