<br />CC Meeting Minutes <br />September 27, 1989 <br />Page Five <br /> <br />Mayor Haberman noted that the striping did not meet the national <br />traffic code standards and recommended it be re-painted according <br />to the code, a new center line be painted and appropriate signs be <br />posted. <br /> <br />Motion by Haberman, second by Peterson to direct the Public Works <br />Department to re-paint the striping, order appropriate signs and <br />install before winter; Mayor Haberman will liaison with the school <br />and the Public Works Director, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br /> <br />Discussion of the Centerville Economic Development Task Force <br />promotional ideas. <br /> <br />It was the general consensus of the city council that the task <br />force ideas were good. They felt the billboard was a little <br />premature. They noted they will be investigating ci ty water in the <br />industrial area beginning at the October 11 City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Motion by Haberman, second by Burgstahler to refer Ordinance and <br />Comprehensive Plan information relating to requirements of <br />Industrial businesses in Centerville to the Centerville Economic <br />Development Task Force for their review and recommendations, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Pelton, second by Neumann to approve Tamara Miltz- <br />Miller, Clerk/Administrator, and Orville Hughes, Public Works <br />Director, attendance at the Listening and Responding Workshop on <br />Thursday, October 12, 1989; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Haberman, second by Neumann to approve the following <br />consent agenda items: <br /> <br />- Resolution certifying delinquent sewer billings to Anoka <br />County, <br /> <br />city celebration ideas and volunteers requested in <br />December newsletter, <br /> <br />- Consent to research building permit fees to determine if <br />those fees warrant hiring of a City Building Inspector, <br /> <br />- Staff direction to refer Lino Lakes Comprehensive Plan <br />Amendment to City Planner for review and comment; <br /> <br />motion carried unanimously. <br />
