Discussion of the Sorel Street Drainage agreements. A copy of these agreements are on file with the Clerk/Administrator. It was the general consensus of the City council that the issue was sewage, not storm sewer drainage. Motion by Peterson, second by Pelton to remove all reference to storm sewer in the agreements and to remove in full the seventh paragraph referring to storm sewer drainage corrections, motion carried unanimously. Motion by Neumann, second by Peterson to direct the Public Works Director along with the Building Inspector to proceed to locate the source of the Sorel street drainage concern, Haberman - aye, Peterson - aye, Pelton -aye, Neumann - aye, Burgstahler - abstain, motion carried. Motion by Pel ton, second by Burgstahler to direct the Clerk/Administrator to issue the agreements to excavate the sewer drain tile in the Sorel Street drainage concern, including a map of the area to be excavated, and pending the City Attorney's written approval, motion carried unanimously. council member Pelton has drafted an application for the Community Transit Planning Grant Program. The grant application needs to be submitted by October 5, 1989. Council member Pelton requests the city Council review her draft and contact her with any additions or corrections prior to October 5. Motion by Burgstahler, second by Haberman to authorize Council member Pelton to submit the application for the Community Transit Planning Grant Program as drafted by herself and to request city council members provide any further input prior to October 5, 1989, motion carried unanimously. The city council will discuss recycling money, bins and pickup at the October 11, 1989 city Council meeting. Motion by Burgstahler, second by Pelton to allow Ray's roofing to submit a certified check for the amount of the project cost of the roof repair on the old county building, in lieu of the bond and letter of credit required by contractors working in Centerville; to be held by the Clerk/Administrator until satisfactory completion of the job, motion carried unanimously. Discussion of stripping along the east side of Progress Road.
