CC Meeting Minutes <br />' September 13, 1989 : • <br />.....Page Five <br />Clerk/Administrator will remind -Willie Lessard, Lake Area <br />Utilities, of pending work to be completed on Mill Road with regard <br />*to re -sodding tJ.= 1 <br />( Mayor Haberman noted that in the Rice Creek Watershed District <br />response with regard to the proposed Comprehensive Plan Amendment <br />that the City adopt storm water plan to be ready for new <br />developments within the.A City of ter - the Plan was adopted* <br />John Stewart, City Engineer, will review the Rice Creek Watershed <br />District recommendations and outline possiblities to be presented <br />at the Septe�aaber 27, 1989 City Council meeting. <br />Discussion of the proposed Joint -Agreement of the North Metro <br />Recreation Commission. Members of the Park and Recreation <br />Committee were present=y Chairperson Steve Dixon and Committee <br />members Jerry LeTendre• and Lisa smith:... The Park, and Recreation <br />= members spoke in support. of .• the ' proposed Joint Agreement: <br />Committee e -member LeTendre • presented information to the City Counci 1 '.�� <br />.. } r <br />with regard to statistics on dollar amounts per household spent by <br />Centerville and neighboring Cities. A copy of this statistical... <br />information and the proposed Joint Powers Agreement of North Metro <br />Recreation commission are on file with ' the Clerk/Administrator. ': . <br />k <br />It appeared that the. consensus of the. City Council was that at the <br />next City Council budgettmeeting, the beginning of the meeting will <br />be dedicated to the - Park and Recreation budget.. The Park and <br />Recreation Committee then could make.. a recommendation . to .the City <br />Council regarding the Joint Agreement of -the North Metro Recreation <br />commission dependent upon funds available, and that the City <br />Council would attempt%to:make a decision -at that time with -regard., <br />to City committment to ..the agreement. <br />Discussion of the Centennial Fire District Joint Powers Agreements: <br />Motion by P.elton, second by Haberman 'to approve in concept they; <br />draft of the Centennial r•Fire District. Joint Powers Agreement II and <br />that -it. -is recommended;r-that an additional - Steering . Committee <br />meeting be held to -discuss all additional City concerns and <br />proposed amendments; • the proposed amendment by the City : of Lino <br />Lakes will be reviewed by Barry Blomquist, City Attorney, to verify <br />,.y City committment/obligation•, should the City agree to said <br />amendment, motion carried unanimously. <br />Concerns expressed by the City Council to be discussed at the <br />Steering Committee , level); are : <br />:.. . - What would speaif ical ly would happen if a unanimous vote <br />were not received with regard to choosing of the t4_L .0 <br />
