City of Centerville Council Meeting Minutes December 26, 2007 City Administrator Larson provided additional information on the new telephone system. Discussion ensued. After discussion, the matter was tabled in order for staff to gather more information on the proposals and the cost to move the existing system. 4. Resolution #07-063 - Sponsorship of the Attached Community Development Block Grant Application. Finance Director Meyer provided additional information on the Community Development Block Grant application. Motion by Council Member Lakso, seconded by Council Member Paar, to approve Resolution #07-063, Sponsorship of the Community Development Block Grant Application. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. Consider Purchase Agreement of Lots 8 and 13, Block 7 -Centerville ($225,500 City Administrator Larson provided additional information on the purchase agreement. Motion by Council Member Lakso, seconded by Council Member Paar, to approve the execution of the purchase agreement for Lots 8 and 13, Block 7, Centerville, in the amount of $225,500. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. 6. League of Cities Leadership Conference for Experienced Officials Councilmember Lakso reported the dates are January 18-19, 2008 and questioned whether the City would cover the cost to attend. Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Lakso, to authorize expenses for members of the Council to attend the League of Minnesota Cities Leadership Conference. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. 7. Centerville Business Promotions The Council discussed a proposal to participate in a series of promotional activities in support of local business. The first would be centered on the Lions Ice Fishing contest in February. Council reached consensus that they had already authorized the use of remaining EDA funds for community promotions. IX.
