City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />December 26, 2007 <br />requested an extension to January 31, 2008 and that the additional 15 days into February <br />were added as an additional buffer. <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Broussard-Vickers <br />to approve consent agenda items 10, 11, 12 and 15. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />VL AWARDS/PRESENTATIONS/APPEARANCES <br />NIr. Greg Kieselhorst, Centerville Lion's Club, Request for Special Event Permit <br />Temporary On Sale Liquor License Raffle Permit for the 2008 Ice Fishing <br />Contest Saturday February 9 or February 16 2008. <br />NIr. Kieselhorst was present to review the Lion's Club request for licenses and permits <br />related to their fishing contest. The event is planned on February 9, 2008 with a backup <br />date of February 16, 2008 in the case of bad weather. <br />VII. OLD BUSINESS <br />None <br />VIII. NEW BUSINESS <br />Approval of Centerville Lion's Request for Permits Associated with the 2008 Ice <br />Fishing Contest Saturday February 9 or February 16, 2008. <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Broussard-Vickers <br />to, to approve Licenses and Permits for Centerville Lion's related to the Fishing <br />Contest. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />2. Consideration of Submitted Bids for the Purchase of the City's 1951 Studebaker <br />Fire Track <br />City Administrator Larson explained that he had received several offers to purchase the <br />1951 Fire Truck and questioned Council as to what they would like to do. <br />Discussion ensued. <br />Consensus of Council is to keep the fire truck and restore it when possible. <br />Motion by Council Member Lakso, seconded by Council Member Lee, to Decline <br />the Offers to Purchase the Fire Truck. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Consideration of Purchasing New Telephone System for 2085 Cedar Street <br />Building -New Public Works. <br />Page 4 of 6 <br />
