<br />Meeting Minutes - CC <br />August 8, 1990 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Neumann to amend the Assessment <br />Manual as follows: <br />now reads: "6.Water Connection Charge (WCC) This is a charge <br />billed to all properties at the time of connection to the <br />water system. The charge is the individual property <br />share of the cost of the trunk, source and storage <br />facili ties which make water service available. The <br />charge for 1988 is $1,300 per equivalent residential <br />units. Units are determined by a method similar to SAC <br />units for sanitary sewer. In areas whose zoning is other than <br />residential or public, the water connection shall be <br />based upon the greater of either a method similar to that <br />for SAC units or a flat charge per acre. The acreage <br />charge for 1990 is $3,300/ac. These charges may be <br />assessed against the property." <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Street Scape <br />John Stewart, City Engineer, presented a letter to the City Council <br />dated August 8, 1990 regarding amendments to the Street Scape <br />standards. A copy of this letter 1S on file with the <br />Clerk/Administrator. Mr. Stewart noted that utility companies have <br />made requests for a more definite standard as to where to locate <br />each utility. Mr. Stewart presented proposed amendments to page <br />4 and 5 of the City of Centerville's Street Scape Standards. Pages <br />4 and 5 show proposed revised exhibits which provide dimensions <br />separating telephone, electric and cable TV as may be located in <br />the 10 foot easement behind the right-of-way. Mr. Stewart also <br />noted that the gas line is now shown to be located three feet <br />behind the curb. <br /> <br />Mayor Haberman suggested that the mail box on exhibits be brought <br />up to date to the current City mail box standards. <br /> <br />It was noted that the Utility Companies could request that they <br />work together to have their lines next to each other versus <br />complying to the City of Centerville Street Scape Plan. City staff <br />shall draft a paragraph for the August 22, 1990 meeting which would <br />allow for possible deviation from the Street Scape Standards by <br />
