<br />Meeting Minutes - CC <br />August 8, 1990 <br />Page 9 <br /> <br />Proposed Extension of Municipal Water <br />Dick Brown, 1979 Main street, appeared at the City Council meeting <br />after discussion of the proposed municipal water extension to the <br />industrial park. Mr. Brown advised that he would also like to be <br />invol ved to petition to the City of Centerville to rezone his <br />property from commercial to residential. <br /> <br />Lake Sanitation Tip Fee Increase - Request for Back Billing <br />Mary Ayde, Lake Sanitation, was present at the meeting to discuss <br />increase in tipping fees, possible information to be inserted in <br />the City newsletter and to update the City Council on the progress <br />of the City of Centerville's abatement efforts. <br /> <br />Ms. Ayde presented a letter dated August 8, 1990 regarding the tip <br />fee increase-pass thru, and a letter dated August 7, 1990 regarding <br />waste abatement program update. A copy of each of these letters <br />is on file with the Clerk/Administrator. <br /> <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Peterson to authorize Lake <br />Sanitation to pass an lncrease in tipping fee through to <br />Centerville customers effective August 1, 1990; the monthly billing <br />will increase from $16.00 per month to $16.80 per month; motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Haberman expressed concern regarding the monthly billing of <br />the solid waste pick up. <br /> <br />Council member Pelton noted that she has received consistent <br />requests for volume garbage pick up. <br /> <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Pelton to refer the above concerns <br />to the solid waste sub committee and that the information shall be <br />presented at the next appropriate City Council meeting, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Municipal Facilities <br />Mayor Haberman advised that the Clerk/Administrator; Bill Hawkins, <br />city Attorney; Carolyn Drude, Municipal Advisor; and himself had <br />met with representatives of Ryan Construction to attempt to <br />facilitate some type of agreement through which the City could work <br />with a design builder. Mayor Haberman advised that it appeared <br />that through the conversations this would not be a possibility. <br /> <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Neumann to request that Racchinni <br />and Associates Architects put together a feasibility study for the <br />proposed municipal facility for the City of Centerville at a dollar <br />amount not to exceed $1,600; Aye - Peterson, Pelton, Burgstahler, <br />Neumann; nay - Haberman; motion carried. <br /> <br />Mayor Haberman advised that he is not convinced that the City <br />
