<br />Meeting Minutes CC <br />November 14, 1990 <br />page five <br /> <br />Sidewalk Policy <br />The City Staff drafted two possible sidewalk policies. <br />Council appeared to not be in agreement as to which <br />policy should be included. A copy of examples #1 <br />attached to and made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />The <br />sections of <br />and #2 are <br /> <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Pelton to direct City Staff to <br />redraft the proposed sidewalk policies, possibly <br />deleting Section 2 of Example #2; <br />-deleting the property owner responsibility <br />the sidewalk, and adding branches and <br />obstruction accumulation of material <br />conditions; <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />for repair of <br />debris and/or <br />or dangerous <br /> <br />North Metro Recreation Commission - Joint Powers AQreements <br />Mayor Haberman expressed concern regarding page 15 J, and page <br />17, section 3. <br /> <br />Motion by Pelton, second by Burgstahler to approve the North <br />Metro Recreation Commission Joint Powers Agreement contingent <br />upon the adoption of the agreement by the cities of Lino Lakes, <br />Circle Pines and Lexington, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />A copy of the North Metro Recreation Commission - Joint Powers <br />Agreement is on file with the Clerk/Administrator. <br /> <br />North Metro Transportation Committee <br />Council member Pelton submitted a list of transportation concerns <br />to the Clerk/Administrator to be addressed by the North Metro <br />Transportation Committee. She noted that the eastern communities <br />concerns need to be addressed. Her suggestions are as follows: <br />complete the upgrade of County Road 14 to the eastern <br />county line; <br />upgrade Centerville Road within Anoka County; <br />development of a Comprehensive Pedestrian bike/trail <br />system through out Anoka County (especially when roads <br />are upgraded); <br />Light rail transit service through the eastern half of <br />Anoka County; <br />Mass transit to the eastern half of Anoka County for <br />Twin City commuting. <br /> <br />Mayor Haberman advised that he would like to see improvement of <br />the 35W and County Road 14 interchange. <br /> <br />~~flfl~N~ AND CaM~bAINfl <br />Mayor Haberman and Council member Pelton and Buckbee advised that <br />they had received phone calls from concerned residents regarding <br />
