<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the city Council of <br />centerville held their regular meeting on October 10, 1990 at City <br />Hall. Mayor Haberman called the meeting to order at 7: 00 p.m. <br />Present: Buckbee, Pel ton, Neumann. Absent: Burgstahler. <br /> <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Buckbee to approve the september 26, <br />1990 City Council meeting minutes, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />possibility of Deleting the Re~irement of a Special Use Permit <br />with ~egard to site Plap as per Ordinance 14. A,ppendix A. Section <br />A-10 and Appendix Br ~ection B-10 <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Pelton to direct City Staff to obtain <br />from city administration, the City Engineer and the City Planner <br />recommendations on possible rewording of a Special Use Requirement <br />with regard to a site plan as per Ordinance 14, Appendix A, Section <br />A-10, and Appendix B, Section B-10; this is to include review of <br />the possibility of amending the Special Use Permit to read a <br />Conditional Use Permit; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Municipal Building <br />City Council reviewed a letter dated October 8, 1990 from the <br />Carlstrom Group Inc. which suggests a submittal of more targeted <br />proposals from the Carlstrom Group Inc. and Boarman and Associates <br />for a dollar amount of $1,000 to each firm, the firm chosen would <br />deduct the $1,000 from their architectural fees. A copy of this <br />letter is on file with the Clerk/Administrator. <br /> <br />Motion by Pelton, second by Buckbee to direct City Staff to write <br />a letter to the Carlstrom Group Inc. and Boarman and Associates <br />requesting proposals as outlined in the October 8, 1990 letter from <br />the Carlstrom Group Inc.; it shall be clarified that the project <br />shall not be design/build, but rather a design consultant and <br />general builder construction; all proposals shall comply to the <br />open bidding laws; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Pelton, second by Buckbee to direct city Staff to write <br />a letter to Racchinni and Associates advising that the City council <br />has decided not to enter into a contract with their firm, and that <br />they will be thanked for their participation thus far, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Golden Meadows <br />John stewart, City Engineer, was present to address questions and <br />concerns regarding the proposed project. Gerald Rehbein, developer <br />of the proposed Golden Meadows development, was also present. <br /> <br />Council member Pelton made several notations. <br />-The access to the park area needs to be addressed in more <br />detail. <br />-It is suggested that there be parking for fOQ~ vehicles in <br />the park land which would not be wi thit'l the housinCJ <br />development. . <br />
