<br />I <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the city council of the <br />city of Centerville held their regular meeting on September 12, <br />1990 at City Hall. Mayor Haberman called the meeting to order at <br />7:05 p.m. Present: Pelton, Burgstahler. <br /> <br />Motion by Pelton, second by Burgstahler to approve the August 22, <br />1990 City Council meeting minutes with the following amendments. <br />-Page two, first line, <br />now reads: "all the nuts and bolts are in the rink," <br />amend to read: "all the nuts and bolts are safe in the <br />rink, " <br />-Page three, paragraph four, <br />now reads: "council member Pelton noted that Barry <br />Blomquist, Attorney at Law, sites three cases that <br />do verify that acknowledgement of the addendum is <br />insignificant." <br />amend to read: Council member Pelton noted that Barry <br />Blomquist, Attorney at Law, sites three cases where <br />acknowledgement of the addendum was insignificant." <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Appointment <br />Motion by Haberman, second by Pelton to appoint John Buckbee III <br />to serve as City Council member in the place of Jerry Peterson <br />until December 31, 1990, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />The Clerk/Administrator gave the official oath to Mr. Buckbee. A <br />signed copy of this oath is on file with the Clerk/Administrator. <br /> <br />APPEARANCES <br /> <br />1991 Police Services - Anoka County Sheriff's Office <br />Captain Netko and Sheriff Ken wilkinson of the Anoka County <br />Sheriff's Department appeared before the City Council to present <br />proposals for 1991 Police Service to the City of Centerville. <br />A copy of the proposals from the Anoka County Sheriff's Department <br />for 1991 Police Service is on file with the Clerk/Administrator. <br /> <br />Sheriff Wilkinson made several comments. <br />-This area of Anoka County would be patrolled more often <br />during off hours if Centerville were to contract with the <br />Anoka County Sheriff's Office for police services. <br />-There would be a possibility of coordinating police service <br />shifts between another City such as Columbus Township, <br />but that this would have to be looked at more closely. <br />-In an emergency, if patrol cars are tied up, the Anoka County <br />Officer would contact the closest agency to respond. <br />This is done routinely throughout the County. <br />-The patrol officers usually handles a mutual aid request <br />through dispatch. <br />-Columbus Township, Andover, East Bethel and Ham Lake <br />currently contract for police services through the Anoka <br />County Sheriff's Office. <br />-Should the City of Centerville request service for the 1991 <br />
