<br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />September 12, 1990 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />year, Sheriff Wilkinson would need to go through the <br />Anoka County Commissioners for authorization of necessary <br />resources. However, he sees no problem with this as the <br />cost of the contract would be off setting the <br />expenditures. <br />-The other cities which currently contract for police service <br />through Anoka County provide some office space, a place <br />for equipment - radios etc. The patrol car is also kept <br />on site. If Centerville did not have the facilities for <br />on site services, it could be coordinated through Anoka <br />County using their offices. However, the travel time to <br />and from Anoka County would be deducted from the hours <br />of the shift for that day for Centerville. <br />-It is possible that the patrol car could be depreciated over <br />a three year period versus a two year period. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Municipal Facilities <br />Jeff Carlstrom of the Carlstrom Group Inc. appeared before the City <br />Council to submit a proposal for design build services for <br />municipal facilities. He noted that each subcontractor would be <br />working directly with the City and that they could work with a fee <br />not to exceed. <br /> <br />It appeared to be the consensus of the City Council to review the <br />proposal submitted at the meeting and to continue discussion at the <br />September 26, 1990 City Council meeting. <br /> <br />A copy of the proposal submitted by Mr. Carlstrom is on file with <br />the Clerk/Administrator. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />1987 Street Reconstruction Reassessment <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Pelton to table discussion of the <br />1987 Street Reconstruction proposed reassessment for non- <br />petitioners until the Attorney General opinions requested through <br />Bill Hawkins, City Attorney, can be reviewed, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Police Service <br />Council member Burgstahler noted the following. <br />-A meeting was held with the City of Lino Lakes to discuss the <br />1991 Police Service Contract. Those present at the <br />meeting were Dean Campbell, Lino Lakes Chief of Police; <br />Randy Schumacher, Lino Lakes City Administrator; Carol <br />Pelton, Centerville City Council member; Bob Burgstahler, <br />Centerville City Council member; and Tamara Miltz- <br />Miller, Centerville Clerk/Administrator. <br />-Lino Lakes was advised by the Centerville representatives <br />that the cost of the contract was more expensive than <br />
