<br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />September 12, 1990 <br />Page 6 <br /> <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Neumann to direct Carolyn Drude, <br />Municipal Financial Advisor, to obtain bond bids for the 1990 <br />Municipal Water Extension Improvement Project, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Rezoning Request From Commercial (B-1) to Single Family Residential <br />Sewered (R-2) For 1969 Main Street. 1976 Main Street, 1973 Main <br />Street. 1979 Main Street, 7105 - 20th Avenue North and 1981 Main <br />Street. <br /> <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Neumann to approve the rezoning <br />request of the property owners at 1969 Main Street, 1976 Main <br />Street, 1973 Main Street, 1979 Main Street, 1981 Main Street and <br />7105 - 20th Avenue North; <br />-due to the unanimous finding of the petition presented to the <br />City Council; <br />-that the rezoning would be consistent with the Comprehensive <br />Plan; and, <br />-that the rezoning would conform with the existing land use; <br />-contingent upon approval by the Metropolitan Council; <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Golden Meadows <br />John Stewart, City Engineer, was present to discuss the feasibility <br />study for the proposed Golden Meadows Development for the City of <br />Centerville dated September 1990. A copy of the feasibility study <br />is on file with the Clerk/Administrator. <br /> <br />Mr. Stewart highlighted the feasibility study making particular <br />mention of a detention basin and a sedimentation basin which would <br />be required for the development. It would be his suggestion that <br />the detention basin and sedimentation basin be completed for the <br />entire 40 acres at this time versus on an individual project basis. <br />Also that 71 1/2 Street is recommended to be a 9 ton street and <br />that the plat submitted by Gerald Rehbein shows a 60 foot wide <br />right-of-way with a sidewalk. He advised that he did not have any <br />major concerns with a 60 foot right-of-way in this case if parking <br />would be eliminated on the north side. <br /> <br />Gerald Rehbein, developer for the proposed Golden Meadows <br />development, requested that the City install sewer and water in the <br />proposed Golden Meadows project in 1990, and that he would go back <br />to the Planning and Zoning Commission with regard to rezoning and <br />his preliminary plat. He advised that he would waive his rights <br />to City liability should the plat or the rezoning not be approved. <br /> <br />Mr. Stewart noted that should the City Council choose to grant Mr. <br />Rehbein's request to extend municipal sewer and water into the <br />
