<br />City Council Meeting Minutes of November 21, 1995 <br /> <br />Sorenson replied that there will be 4 guys working the doors with radios and counters. <br />They are also going to use the front door for existing only. There will also be two officers <br />on duty. <br /> <br />Mr. Sorenson told the council that there will be a DJ in the tent - not loud. He described <br />the tent as a heavy canvas with an astro turf floor. It will also be heated with a forced air <br />furnace and finally there will also be satellite facilities available outside. <br /> <br />Mr. Sorenson thanked the Council for hearing him speak and that he was present to <br />discuss the liquor license fees. <br /> <br />1996 LICENSE RENEWALS <br /> <br />MOTION by Buckbee, second by Brenner to remove the 1996 Liquor License Renewals <br />from the Consent Agenda. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilmember Buckbee stated that there is a significant difference in the Liquor License <br />fees from last year. Councilmember Powers-Rasmussen stated that they are fair <br />considering surrounding cities. Powers-Rasmussen went on to explain the in-depth <br />research she did to arrive at the fee structure. <br /> <br />MOTION by Powers-Rasmussen, second by Helmbrecht to approve the 1996 License <br />Renewals contingent upon certificates of insurance, state approval and fees being paid. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />COMPENSA nON TIME AGREEMENT <br /> <br />MOTION by Powers-Rasmussen, second by Brenner to remove Compensation Time <br />Agreement from Consent Agenda. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />The Employee Review Board explained that because Paul Palzer is a non-exempt <br />employee, the amount of responsibility he carries, and the Fair Labor Act an agreement <br />needs to be signed to allow Palzer to take comp time versus getting paid for it. <br /> <br />MOTION by Wilharber, second by Powers-Rasmussen to table this issue until next <br />meeting, allowing staff time to copy the council on the paper trail explaining exempt and <br />non-exempt employees. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />CERTIFICA nON OF PETITIONS FOR ASSESSMENT <br /> <br />MOTION by Buckbee, second by Brenner to approve the certification of the water hook <br />up charges for properties located at: 1979 Main Street and 2050 Main Street.
