CITY OF CENTERVILLE CITY COUNCIL OCTOBER 15, 1995 PUBLIC HEARING DELINQUENT WATER AND SEWER ACCOUNTS Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of the City of Centerville held a public hearing on Wednesday, October 25, 1995 at the City Hall. Mayor Wilharber called the public hearing to order at 6:50 p.m. PRESENT: Mayor Wilharber Councilmember Buckbee Councilmember Helmbrecht Councilmember Brenner ABSENT: Councilmember Powers-Rasmussen Mayor Wilharber read the public hearing notice that stated: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Centerville will hold a public hearing on proposed special assessments for delinquent quarterly sewer and water bills. Such hearing will be held at the City Hall, 1880 Main Street, Centerville, Minnesota, on Wednesday, October 25, 1995 at 6:45 p.m. At the hearing written or oral objections to the proposed assessments by any property owner will be considered. No appeal may be taken as to the amount of any assessment adopted after the hearing unless a written objection signed by the affected property owner is filed with the City Clerk prior to the Assessment hearing or is presented to the presiding officer at the hearing. An owner may appeal as assessment to District Court pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 429.081 by serving notice within 30 days after the adoption of the assessment and by filing such notice with the District Court of Anoka County within ten (10) days after service of the notice of appeal upon the Mayor or Clerk. There were no residents present. Councilmembers reviewed the list of delinquent accounts. MOTION by Buckbee, second by Brenner to close the public hearing at 6:55 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
