<br />City Council Meeting Minutes of November 8, 1995 <br /> <br />consider the as-built grading plan as noted in Dave Nyberg's letter dated October 31, <br />1995. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilmember Helmbrecht also wanted the council to be aware that the grading plan was <br />changed to a 1 % grade because the house styles changed. <br /> <br />MOTION by Helmbrecht, second by Powers-Rasmussen to have Planning and Zoning <br />look at ordinance 8, section 38.05, the minimum grade for storm drainage and amend the <br />minimum to 2%. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Dave Nyberg told the council that the problem generally comes when the new <br />homeowners do their landscaping. This is when the grade is altered. He also added that if <br />the ordinance is changed and the resident alters the grade they would be required to have a <br />vanance. <br /> <br />MOTION by Brenner, second by Buckbee to forward the sodding and grading policy <br />and/or ordinance amendment to Planning and Zoning. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />CLEARWATER CREEK FINAL PAY ESTIMATE <br /> <br />Dave Nyberg reported that the punchlist items have been completed to the engineers <br />satisfaction. <br /> <br />MOTION by Brenner, second by Helmbrecht to approve the final pay estimate for <br />Clearwater Creek Restoration Project in the amount of $5,000.00. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />WATERTOWER <br /> <br />Dave Nyberg explained the need for a new watertower in Centerville. Because the <br />Industrial Park is expanding and the requirement to have them sprinkle and now the <br />interest from the school to hook-up to city water. Nyberg stated that John Stewart and <br />himself would meet with the city to discuss these needs and the costs. <br /> <br />Staff is to coordinate a meeting with Ehlers and Associates, MSA, Buckbee, Wilharber <br />and Danell Westbrock to discuss the cost and financing needs. <br /> <br />JUVENILE CURFEW ORDINANCE <br /> <br />Councilmember Buckbee agrees with Chief VanBurkleo that all the cities should have the <br />same curfew ordinance. Councilmember Brenner stated she would support and also trust <br />the chiefs recommendations. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber feels that the city ordinance should be re-written due to the date of the <br />original ordinance. <br /> <br />CC 11-8MM.WPS <br /> <br />4 <br />
