<br />City Council Meeting Minutes of December 27, 1995 <br /> <br />Councilmember Helmbrecht requested that the officers monitor the snowmobiles. <br />Helmbrecht stated the snowmobilers are driving too far in peoples yard and are damaging <br />trees, sod, decorations, etc. Officer Nelson responded that it is becoming a problem in all <br />the cities and that the snowmobile club may consider making a trail to get them to the <br />local bars in old downtown. <br /> <br />YVONNE HENRICH, HOSPITAL DISTRICT <br /> <br />Ms. Henrich updated the council on the transition of the one year lease with Fairview, <br />stating it has gone smoothly. Ms. Henrich informed the council that District Memorial <br />Hospital has been listed in the top 100 hospitals by Modern Healthcare Magazine. <br /> <br />Ms. Henrich stated that a 110 acre site has been selected and are now working on the site <br />plan which will go before the Wyoming Council in January. The 110 acres will eventually <br />have a "campus" similar to Fairview Ridges. <br /> <br />The old/current building usage is still undetermined, proposal would consist of home <br />health care or community centers. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber thanked Ms. Henrich for coming and updating the council and also for <br />serving as our representative. <br /> <br />BOB KERR., KERR TRANSPORTA nON SERVICES (DRUG TESTING <br />PROGRAM) <br /> <br />Councilmember Brenner stated that the program is a complete package consisting of <br />record keeping, policies and training. Mr. Kerr informed the council that Kerr <br />Transportation is currently working with 32 other cities some of which are: Lino Lakes, <br />White Bear Lake, Shoreview, and Woodbury. <br /> <br />Mr. Kerr's response to some questions asked by the council are: <br /> <br />The time frame to get started would be by the end of January to complete everything. <br /> <br />The level of accident that would warrant an immediate drug test would be with a snow <br />plow or gravel truck, if there was a fatality, if medical assistance was called, a citation was <br />issued or if a vehicle was towed. <br /> <br />Kerr would include Centerville in a pool of cities for random selection drug testing. <br /> <br />Program Coordinator would be Paul Patzer with a different person being notified of the <br />random selection testing. <br /> <br />CCI2-27M.WPS <br /> <br />4 <br />
