<br />City Council Meeting Minutes of November 21, 1995 <br /> <br />PERSONNEL POLICY <br /> <br />Councilmember Helmbrecht questioned the wording on page 14, 7.3 a. Amend to read: <br />All employees scheduled to work by the department head on a holiday... Helmbrecht also <br />questioned page 15, g. She doesn't feel vacation should be accumulated during a leave. <br /> <br />MOTION by Powers-Rasmussen, second by Brenner to table the personnel policy until <br />the next city council meeting. Giving time to list the differences between the ordinance <br />and the policy. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />POSITION OF DEPUTYITREASURER <br /> <br />The employee review board provided a job description for the Deputy/Treasurer position <br />stating the point range to be 174-191. The added responsibilities to the Deputy position <br />being the budget issues. <br /> <br />MOTION by Brenner, second by Helmbrecht to approve the job description of the <br />Deputy/Treasurer and the point range of 174-191. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION by Helmbrecht, second by Buckbee to appoint Danell Westbrock at <br />Deputy/Treasurer with the points of 174 retro active to September 11, 1995. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />LAKE SANITATION <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber mentioned the letter sent out by Lake Sanitation stating that is was sold <br />and the office in White Bear Lake has been closed. <br /> <br />Councilmember Powers-Rasmussen stated that the city needs a current contract with <br />them. She also mentioned she is getting proposals from other companies. <br /> <br />DEAN JOHNSON, COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br /> <br />Consensus of the Council to set up a workshop prior to the Taxation Hearing on <br />December 7, 1995, to discuss the comprehensive plan. Workshop set for 5:00 p.m., <br />Thursday, December 7, 1995. <br /> <br />KENSORENSON,WATERWORKS <br /> <br />Ken Sorenson, Waterworks, was present and recognized by the Council to address the <br />issue of the event held at Waterworks on the eve of Thanksgiving. Mr. Sorenson stated <br />that they didn't know the tent would be such an issue. And then by addressing the tent <br />issue dealing with the occupancy set on the tent.
