<br />379 CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br />380 SEPTEMBER 22, 1993 <br />381 PAGE EIGHT <br />382 <br />383 Council member Dario also noted that the Economic Development <br />384 Committee would like to leave the term of office in the proposed <br />385 ordinance as one year. <br />386 <br />387 Council member Brenner noted that she had attended a Star City <br />388 Conference and found the conference to be very educational. <br />389 <br />390 NEW BUSINESS: <br />391 <br />392 Police Services - Tri City Task Force. <br />393 The City Council reviewed a draft letter dated September 22, 1993 <br />394 to the Circle Pines/Lexington Police Commission regarding the <br />395 forming of a Police Service Task Force to investigate the <br />396 possibility of a Tri-City Police Service Joint Powers Agreement. <br />397 <br />398 A copy of the letter is on file with the Clerk/Administrator. <br />399 <br />400 Walter Neumann, Centerville's Police Liaison to the Circle <br />401 Pines/Lexington Police Commission, was present. Mr. Neumann <br />402 noted that this has been one of his goals. Mr. Neumann expressed <br />403 that in his opinion this the way for the City to go. Mr. Neumann <br />404 noted Centerville would benefit from having a vote on the <br />405 commission. <br />406 <br />407 Motion by Buckbee, second by Wilharber to approve the draft of <br />408 the letter to the Circle Pines/Lexington Police Commission <br />409 regarding the forming of a Police Service Task Force to <br />410 investigate the possibility of a Tri-City Police Service Joint <br />411 Powers Agreement; <br />412 contingent upon the clarification of the Circle <br />413 Pines/Lexington Police Department being utilized for <br />414 information gathering; <br />415 the Mayor is authorize to sign said letter; <br />416 Council members Mary Jo Helmbrecht and Tom Wilharber <br />417 are appointed as Centerville's representatives to the <br />418 Tri-City Police Service Task Force; <br />419 a curtesy letter will be sent to the City of Lino <br />420 Lakes, <br />421 motion carried unanimously. <br />422 <br />423 Lino Lakes ReQuest to Overlay Mound Trail. <br />424 The City Council reviewed a draft letter dated September 13, 1993 <br />425 to Don Volk, Lino Lakes Public Works Director, regarding the <br />426 request for permission to overlay the westerly 700 feet of Mound <br />427 Trai 1. <br />428 <br />429 A copy of the draft letter dated September 13, 1993 is on file <br />430 with the Clerk/Administrator. <br />431 <br />432 Council member Wilharber asked if Lino Lakes was asked to CITY <br />
